Buoyed by its victory in the Karnataka assembly polls, BJP would launch its country-wide campaign for next year's parliamentary polls from the South Indian state of Kerala next week.
Senior party leader Venkiah Naidu would launch the three-month long country-wide campaign of the party from Palakkad district in Kerala on June 21. Other top leaders are slated to follow suit in other parts of the country.

"This time we would make a breakthrough in Kerala. After Karnataka, its Kerala and the mood is in favour of BJP," Naidu said."The polity in Kerala is looking for an alternative. People now want a change other than the Communists and the Congress," he added. In an effort to boost its prospects, the party had even gave a ministerial berth to one of its state leader O Rajagopal (a RS member from Madhya Pradesh). However, the party failed to bag the Thiruvanthapuram seat to which Rajagopal belonged.

"Zero tally is an emotional bottleneck. The party feels that with some coordinated efforts, we can make the difficult task happen. The cadre is upbeat and any southern state now does not look impossible for us," a senior party leader said.Beside the zero mark, the party is also facing factionalism in the state unit with some leaders even leaving the party in the recent past alleging grave indiscipline.
