Bangalore pull off a win against the Super kings

It was a victory most unexpected, both in the context of their performances throughout the tournament as well as for the first three-fourths on Wednesday night. When it did arrive, the Royal Challengers were beside themselves with delirious joy after pulling the rug from under Chennai Super Kings' feet at the MA Chidambaram stadium.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men needed a simple victory to secure a semifinal berth in the IPL, and looked well on their way as they raced to 60 without loss after the Royal Challengers had limped to 126 for eight, riding on skipper Rahul Dravid's innings-retrieving 47.

With Parthiv Patel and Stephen Fleming in full cry, an early finish appeared on the cards, until Anil Kumble (3/14), with support from a potent, disciplined attack, chose to leave his mark on the competition.
The Indian Test captain foxed Patel and elicited a caught and bowled off Fleming's body, triggering an extraordinary turn of events as the hunters became the hunted.
