Janapada Jatre is an great initiative by the Department of Kannada and culture [Govt. of Karnataka], this project has an estimation of Rs 4 crore.

Janapada Jatre has already 50 shows to its name and its gaining popularity each day, its worth spending some quality time wathcing these folks perform and also getting addicted to our own cultural value.

Another important aspect of organizing such a exhibition is to encourage over 180 different forms of folk art in the State. The Government would give a daily remuneration of Rs. 300 for all 300 artistes through cheques.
