This school principal didn't pay the fee he collected from 18 students to the SSLC examination board. Burdened by guilt, he later ended his life.

The principal and member of Padmavathi Dr Ramachandra Rao Education Trust, Vivek Vardhan (29), was found hanging in his residence on the school premises on Friday. Vivek become a father five months ago and his wife Divya was staying with her mother.

The parents of the 18 students had approached Vivek as to why their kids didn't get the hall tickets. Vivek had promised them he would get the tickets in a couple of days. The parents said they had paid Rs 380 each as examination fee. When they learned that even the students' application letters weren't sent to the board, they met him again last week.

On Friday, Vivek's housekeeper, Devi, came to clean the house. Her repeated knocks were unanswered. Later, Vivek's sister-in-law Revathi and other school staffers broke open the door and found Vivek hanging from the ceiling. They shifted him to a nearby hospital, but he was declared brought dead. "We were shocked.

We didn't know what happened and why he didn't pay the fee. My daughter is inconsolable, not because of the examination, but due to Vivek's death. He was a good teacher," said Anand, a parent. Vivek left behind a suicide note stating he was responsible for the ‘trouble'. After hearing about the suicide, the Karnataka State Secondary Education Board has decided to allow the students to write the exam, which starts on March 31.

Karnataka BJP goes Online with launching a portal http://bjpkarnataka.org , with Karnataka polls due in May its a good time for harvesting the IT crowd, interestingly it carries all the election manifestos fo BJP and its candidates list and many more photos and self appraisal forms.
It would have bee good if BJP would have listed the candidates with there track record and if any criminal record in past :)
